What Should I Do the (Z) Blog On? (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

A herd of zebras.

A herd of zebras.

Everyday, I had the struggle of what to blog about, then I cam to Z. No matter how easy the letter is, it is always hard trying to blog about it; the struggle!

The letters Q, X, and Z were the hardest. I wrote about the letter Q and x-rays

But really what is the point of the letter Z. We just use it for naming zebras and zzzzzz’s aka sleep. But then again without Z,there wouldn’t be zzzzzz’s.

How many words really begin with Z? Zebra, and a few Disney characters like Zazu from The Lion King.

Anyway, this is the end of the challenge. Bye for now!!

Yard Work (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

Towards the end of the school year, everyone gets excited; no more homework, sleeping in, and no drama/gossip. To me school is relief to get out of, no homework for about three months. In my case, I have to get in my backyard between 8:00 and 9:00, I’m outside pulling weeds.

At my house we have a huge backyard that requires maintenance because we’re trying to fix it up. Everyday,  I get the same job of pulling weeds. It’s not that hard but when your parents are inspecting your every move you’re out there for a few hours because of it.

While everyone else is having fun and going to the pool, I am stuck at home pulling weeds.

X-Ray (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

One day, I was picked up from kindergarten then went to lunch and hung out with my cousin, dad, and grandma. I had a half day everyday in kindergarten.

That day I went to Burger King for lunch, then we went to my grandma’s. My grandma had a playground for all the grandchildren, so my cousin and I went and played on the swings.

My cousin got the idea to get a portable highchair and strap me to the porch swing connected to the swing set. She was pushing me,but she was hanging on while doing. One thing led to another, and I fell off and landed on my left arm.

I was taken to the hospital and when I got the x-ray, they said I had to have a splint but not a cast.

The next day I went back to school, and my teacher cut the stuff out for me.

Honestly, it was pretty awesome because I was helped out and I didn’t have to do a lot at home.

Wondering (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

Like any other human being, everyone is curious; sometimes for the better, but sometimes for the worse. Some people think more on the negative side than the positive, vice versa.

We all have questions for the future. We wonder if we will be successful, or if we will have a good and fun life. Every person wants to know this or many other completely different things.

I know that humans over think and it usually affects us negatively to where we don’t enjoy ourselves. We always manage to think about the bad things when we are having fun or forget about them.

Don’t live your life thinking about the negative, you will live your life with regrets. The point is, don’t live your life wondering what if, live in the present and enjoy it.

Ugh! (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

This morning I woke up, and it was just one of those days. I was tired and annoyed with school and people. Then I found out I had to go somewhere.

My sister had made it to the District Spelling Bee and I went to see how she did. I don’t know what it is, but all my siblings and I are great spellers. Almost every year we make it to some kind of spelling event.

She had known for a few weeks and been studying like crazy. She was the last group to go; it went third, fourth, then fifth.

The rules were that they did a practice word, and you would have 10 seconds to write each word, then you would be judged. By the second word, she was writing the word and she ran out of time and still wrote; if they didn’t see her, she would’ve gotten away with it. Sadly she was eliminated because she took too much time to write the word.

She wrote it then she erased a letter, so if she didn’t fix it, she probably would’ve been eliminated anyway.

The whole, you get 10 seconds to write it thing, is stupid in my opinion; if you have a time limit, make it higher! I know I am mad and a little biased at this point, but really!

Anyway, the whole point of this was to state that I was having an “Ugh!” kind of day, and the Spelling Bee people made it worse. Sorry this rant is so long. Bye!

Vanilla (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

Recently when I went to Walmart, I decide that I would like some ice cream. I love to get this one brand that billions of flavors (exaggeration).

I can’t remember what it was called but it had vanilla and hazelnut ice cream mixed half and half with a hazelnut fudge core. When I first tried it, it was heaven in a carton.

In every bite, I was able to get a little bit of the fudge core mixed with the ice cream; that little part of fudge made it so delicious!

Basically, the mixture of all the ingredients made it the best ice cream ever, considering that I don’t really like ice cream.

Some delicious hazelnut ice cream.

Summer (T)rips (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

Almost every year families in the whole world go on road trips in the summertime. This year my family and I are traveling to California.

We don’t go out to California that much because it is a far drive. Also we figured it was time to see my mom’s side of the family again.

My mom’s three brothers and my three aunts live there along with their two children each. Also my mom’s dad, or Papa to me, lives there.

When we go on trips, it’s quite an adventure. The drive is like 20 hours at least and that’s the longest drive I’ve been on. I’m almost certain that with all of us being locked up in a tiny place, tensions will rise and it will be hell.

Even though it is the end of school and all, I am kind of nervous and excited for the trip.

An open road is ahead of us, who knows what will happen.

Storms (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

Rainstorms, blizzards, or any other type of storm I would love. I don’t know why I enjoy them but I do.

The smell of the rain is comforting to me. Supposedly it comes from the water hitting a bacteria in the ground. Anyway, I think if it’s going to rain, it should be gloomy outside.

But if it is going to be cold, there should be snow.  When it is below freezing and it can snow, it should snow! I don’t understand why it would be a cold, gloomy day and no snow or rain at least.

Anyway, I like the rain and snow, but if its cold and gloomy, one of them should be present in a cold, gloomy day.

Randomness (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

In one of my previous blogs, I wrote about my little brother’s obsession with a kid’s show called “Caillou”. At any given time, he will come in my room and sit on my bed and say “Sissy, Caillou?!” I just can’t pass that up because he’s too adorable.

For example, this morning when I was packing my backpack, he came in and sat on my bed. I was obviously in a hurry to get to school, I said no and he burst into tears.

He eventually got over it when he saw the school buses when my mom dropped me off. Heprobably went back home and watched it.

See how easy it is to be random with anything and go off on a limb.

Bye! >.<

Orange Juice Hatred (A to Z Challenge)

By: Caroline Paul

Many people that I know, including my family, absolutely love orange juice. Then there’s me; I cannot stand orange juice. It’s so tart and disgusting; shouldn’t it be sweet?

My dad buys orange juice anytime we go to the store and when they offer it to me, I’m like, “Don’t you know I don’t like orange juice!?”

I don’t know how my hatred started, but I can’t drink it. It could be from the tartness of it because I like sweet things; I just like candy and anything and everything sweet. It’s weird though because I eat oranges but I don’t drink orange juice.

Anyway, I felt the need to express my hatred for orange juice, so why not in a blog.
